Michael focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of technological fields. His areas of expertise include electrical, computer, design, business method, and mechanical technologies such as lighting, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cognitive computing, quantum computing, semiconductor design and fabrication, social media, mobile devices, electronic circuits, telecommunications, network architecture, video and speech coding, signal processing, and medical devices.

Michael’s experience in intellectual property law spans over two decades. Michael began his patent career as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the digital communications examination group, where he examined patent applications directed to technology areas such as spread spectrum communication, multiplex and cellular communication, modems, and modulation and coding methods. He is able to leverage the insights gained from this experience to help achieve clients’ goals.

He enjoys learning about new technologies and working with clients to meet their patent protection needs.
