Mark Steinberg
Mark Steinberg, of Counsel, practices law specializing in patent prosecution and counseling. He was previously an associate at McCarter & English, LLP, where he prepared and prosecuted patent applications for inventions in the electrical, mechanical and computer related arts including medical and electromechanical devices, hand tools and information systems. Earlier, Mr. Steinberg was an associate at the law firm of Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C. where he prepared and prosecuted patent applications for inventions in the electrical and computer related arts including digital signal processors, power supplies, memory devices, analog to digital converters, communication systems, image processing systems, error detection and correction systems, software compilers and Internet applications. Mr. Steinberg has also performed validity, infringement and non-infringement studies and rendered opinions thereon in a wide variety of technology areas. Mr. Steinberg was previously a patent attorney in the legal department of United Technologies Corporation. Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Steinberg was a design engineer and senior design engineer at Hamilton Standard, a division of United Technologies Corporation, where he designed and developed brushless DC motor controllers for the International Space Station, precision analog circuits for the B-2 bomber, receivers/demodulators for fiber optic interferometers and software for automated testing. Mr. Steinberg received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1982, his M.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1987 and his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1995.
